Default Let's Bury 95. Pro's.. what's it going to cost.

So I don't like the whole Penn Praxis plan. Too much fake "utopia" for me.

..but the more I think of it.. sinking parts of it aren't such a horrible idea.

So.. we have enough profesionals on here.

What's the cost? In engineering...in concrete in land acquisitions..

C'mon people.

Count Funkula... Merry Christmas.

Wow, look to Boston.

It's not a bad idea, but I'm not sure we've got the cash.

Make it a federal priority and it doesn't matter what it will cost. Or looking at it another way, it will cost less than the space shuttle.

It will be a lot less than Boston as Alderian mentions, because in Boston they had to actually dig up infrastructure and relocate it as needed. If we cover over 95 with new land, there will be no infrastructure to move. A fresh start.

I'm at the point where I don't care what they do with the waterfront as long as it's not crapped up with sluts, er, slots parlors, and they do something.

The one thing I think I need to oberve is that the level of traffic on Del Ave makes it another uninviting barrier. If they re-time the lights south of the 95 ramp to accomodate even the existing level of traffic, Del Ave will only be worse in terms of its barrier effect to the waterfront.

Billions per mile. Let's just widen it, and 76.

8-10 billion is a lot of scratch to begin with, and initial dollar amounts NEVER EVER seem to match up with the final costs. Don't see this one happening anytime soon.

Whatever it cost Boston for the big dig, times ten. Philly has more pockets to line.

Of course they aren't even anywhere near ready to re-do that area of I-95...2032 is the date PennDOT and the Fed have for the are between Vine St and South St.
