Thats ridiculous. If people in a neighborhood want it to be quieter, thats their right to say so. If you don't mind it, it's fine, but if people do mind it, they can take the necesssary action to try and change things. You have no right to bash them for being bothered by something.

When the church by my apartment lets out on Sunday's it's quite loud and annoying. Not to mention the traffic problems created by these deviants. How dare they on my block.

Anyone want to join me in banning the Baptist church?

The Church was there before you and you had the choice about moving where you did knowing the Church was there.

The ducks came along relatively recently and anyone who lived in their house before the daily quack parade started has a valid gripe.

Personally, I'd go for requiring the music and quacking to cease while on residential blocks and crank it up for all it's worth on South St. -- let everybody (pedestrian tourists on South and the tourist filled ducks) have a good time with it without disturbing residential neighbors. Seems like a fair and workable compromise.

Oh, I'm just kidding about the church. The people are real nice and the traffic only gets held up for a few minutes a week. Not a big deal, really. And the good Reverend is great about greeting and getting to know all of the neighbors.

Lyndon Johnson in 1960 explained the appeal of racial demagogy: "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

Who wants to ban SEPTA? Who's with me? Those buses make too much noise. And delivery trucks too. Let's ban them. And cars too. No noise in Society Hill!

Complain all you want....it is your right. But focus your energy on something more important....there are plenty of worthy causes out there.
