There are people that see this city on the news for little things like our homicide rate, and *have* to come here for events, and are frightened by the misinformation spread through the media. How about those of us who live here? Considering that you live here, I would think you'd take your fellow Philadelphians into consideration.
I live in Society Hill and the duck boats are ridiculously annoying. They blast loud music, they taunt Philly area residents, and they often seem like their single goal is to annoy everyone with their "quackers".
Tourist agencies should give back to the city if they want to profit off it. Annoying residents is not a good business tactic. I for one agree with Walt. The duck boats should quiet down and seek to make everyone happy-- including those of us who live here.
Instead of talking down to someone to make yourself feel smarter, try listening next time and being supportive. Then maybe your hyper-intellectual drivel wil actually sound legitimate rather then plain old stupid.
