He didn't hire his wife to be "fitness guru", that was Gwen something or other. His wife is Naomi Post-Street, who is a specialist of sorts in children's advocacy issues.
I was joking with, Janit.

The fitness guru, thing was all over the news when he first got elected, I recall it clear as a bell. Perhaps the protests caused him to back out, but the fact that he wanted to do it is well recalled by me.

I'd be very surprised if they are paying this clown as a "typical" adjunct. They only do that to losers with Ph.D.s, not corrupt former mayors, whose main achievement in office was not getting indicted.

He's getting paid in free tuition.

I thought that was the point of the thread?

I can remember this Fitness Guru issue like it was ysterday. The reason was because when I worked for the state nepotism was all over, yet it's against the state code of ethics. So, I had many discussions about it with coworkers.

Does anyone have info about the history of this position?

The "position" was created after Philadelphia was dubbed the "Fattest City in America" by Men's Fitness Magazine. The woman I mentioned used to work at CIGNA. His wife was never in consideration for the position.

Is his son an undergrad, or did they mean to say that he has his bachelor's?

The woman's name was Gwen Foster, and she was a childhood friend of Streets.
