Default Cherry Hill and Franklin Mills Mall Shoppers warning

Someone forwarded this to the guy who runs snopes.com. Probably not real, just someone trying to scare people...

Quote:
WARNING!!!
CHERRY HILL AND FRANKLIN MILLS MALL SHOPPERS....

A police officer has released
word from the state
prison in Camden, New Jersey
that there are two gangs,
the BLOODS and the CRIPS,
hanging out at the cherry hill mall
and Franklin mills mall in Philly.
They are known to be assaulting
people (rape, robbing, car jacking,
any crime you can think of)
after 5:00 pm these crimes
happen more!
and 3x as much
on the weekends.
Officers recommend to not
go shopping alone
and specially after 5:00 pm.

DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN TRAVEL ALONE OR WANDER OFF!!!

The talk right now is that
the BLOODS and the CRIPS
are responsible for 2 house
fires in Marlton , New Jersey
as part of an initiation.
They are very dangerous and on war path against each other.
PLEASE do not let yourself or
your loved ones get
caught in the cross fire...

Please pass this along
to the people you care for.
Thank You!!!!

I do all my clothes shopping at Franklin Mills Mall since I moved to Philadelphia. Lots of excellent stores and it is all very cleaned up and nice. In all honesty, I have never had an unenjoyable instance there.

Although I haven't heard anything about this, I would not be surprised. Jersey is having a bad time with gangs now. The Bloods are thick in Trenton area. NYC has a strong Bloods/Crips presence and on any given weekend, half of the malls occupants are New Yorkers coming down for shopping excursions.
I doubt this, though as I haven't heard of any crime spikes in the FMM area. The usual shoplifting, car thefts, etc... but certainly no rapes or murders.

Just sounds like some idiot trying to rain on the parade known as the holiday shopping season. I'd say don't let it stop you from shopping & just use the usual amount of caution in parking lots etc. that you would do normally anyway.

It's a technique of rapists to pick a distantly parked car and lay between it an another, then spring up and punch the women out, or drag her to the ground and punch her out. After which he will drag the women into her car and rape her or simply do so on the ground.

I've noticed that lots which have cameras only have them around the immediate area of the store, and you can't expect anything beyond that. So, women are always smart to park close to a store even if it's not the one they want to go to.
