Never heard of the spend-the-night thing but the haunted house at teh Eastern State Penitentiary at Fairmount Ave & Corinthian Ave (http://www.easternstate.org) was named one of the top 10 haunted houses in the country.

There are a couple of other threads around here that have ghost stuff and some responses from serious ghostphyles (or perhaps, phobes). Look around - maybe search on "ghost" to find them.

Yeah, I know the place. It isn't specific to Halloween though. It's called being a police officer who patrols Oak Lane.

There are ghost overnights at Fort Mifflin - I've seen them written up. Check around this site - there somewhere around here.

I've done the overnights at Ft. Mifflin and I'd recommend them for a night of creepy fun. You actually participate in an investigation complete with all the "ghost detectors" you need. Around 2 am your free to explore the fort yourself until 6 am. It's a totally different experience by yourself at 4 am let me assure you. You all of a sudden hear every sound.

Thats pretty damn cool. I never knew they did overnights at Mifflin....I do know some shady stuff goes down in that area late at night...and it has nothing to do with ghosts.

Well that aside once your in the fort your in there all night. I didn't notice anything while I was there at niht. Me and 2 other guys went into all the really "haunted" spots and didn't see or hear a thing. But you never know...

Also, it's a real treat to be able to look out on the river at that time of the morning while on top of the fort.
