Default Who or what brought you to PhillyBlog?

I think it would interesting to see how we all found PhillyBlog.

I found PhillyBlog when searching for info on Jefferson Square back in May of this year.

I wish I knew about it sooner.

I was looking for some info about the old Shawmont Train Station on Google...that was 6 months ago.

There was a topic on this but I think it was an addendum to a poll that Wil was taking and got deleted after the stats were posted in advertising.

I came here after I put a purchase offer in on my house last August (2003). I googled "Fishtown" and found this site. There was one lonely post about Fishtown started by Wil and I registered and posting about my experiences with it. The thing that really got me posting was an affirmative action post. Almost everyone was against it--so for a while I was the liberal voice of the blog.

I had several Philadelphia related google searches turn up threads on phillyblog early this year and maybe even late last year. Was bored one day and, since I kept ending up here, decided to read through some of the stuff.

Originally, I saw some messages from (I think) Will on Neighbors-On-Line. I checked it out but didn't get involved. What drew me in was the Manayunk/Rox/EF forum.

I found it like UncleCranky, except I wasn't looking specifically for any particular neighborhood. I was beginning to search for a neighborhood to buy a house in, and I googled something about that, and found a thread here where a lot of useful back-and-forth went on, so I decided to stay.

I've found this site to be a treasure trove of knowledge, but sometimes I get hooked  .

I googled the Cira Centre, of all things, a while back, and came across a few people posting in the "Future" section of this site. I was thoroughly impressed at the amount of information these people had, even if it was a bunch of bologna. I lurked around for a while, but finally started posting about a month later. I've been strangely addicted ever since, despite the fact that I don't post all that much. Still, Phillyblog can make a slow day at work go by a little quicker.

I was ready to escape from New York a year ago, but wasn't sure where to go. I'd been to Philadelphia several times as a tourist and wanted to know more about the city from the natives. I've been on line for eons and have found that the most real and viable information about anything can be found on message boards. I Googled Philadelphia and somehow I found my way here.

I am a big fan of five's posting so I go where she goes. Okay, back in the dark days I read an article by Inga Saffron about it and then got hooked. This was before the Blob went over to the Dark Side.
