Default Jewelers Row...

I am looking to purchase a diamond ring and earrings in the near future. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews regarding Jewelers Row.

Does anyone have a jeweler that they recommend?

Thanks.....

I always recommend Neil Bruce Jewelers. He is on 8th a few doors up from Robbins. Neil and Domenic are nice, honest guys. If they don't have exactly what you want, just give them a picture and they'll find it or have it made.

Default Neil Bruce

My BF bought my engagement ring at Neil Bruce in October. They did a beautiful job. But we went there this weekend to get it cleaned and resized and it was closed. Weird, the sign on the door said "Due to extended family illness, Neil Bruce will be closed until January 7" but it was the 26th and still not open. We went over to Robbins to see if they would clean it and they were a little bit rude, telling me they wouldn't touch it if I didn't buy it there. We then went into another small shop and the gentleman there sent us to the place where Neil gets his jewelry, so we did and they were very nice, but it's in a strange spot.

Anyone know any other information?

Don't you mean YOUR FIANCE???

Anyway, as I posted in what I assume was the thread he started here:

I know Neil was hospitalized and his wife and employee were trying to hold things down. I don't know if things got worse....I'll try to find out.

yes, I guess you are correct, we both hate that word though. He still calls me his girlfriend, so it's okay.

I didn't know he posted too....sorry.

Anyway, we wish them well and were very pleased. Keep us posted.

Anyone have an update here? We have also used Neil Bruce over the course of the past couple of years for wedding/engagment rings and some other things as well. They are great guys. My wife placed a call down there to find that the number had been disconnected.

Due to his extended hospitalization Neil was unable to maintain the business and had to close down.

If you dealt with Dominic who used to work for Neil, he is now at Max Weiner Jewelers around the corner. I think he only works fridays and saturdays though.

Thanks for the feedback and the info for Dominic. That is a shame; I hope that he is able to make a recovery and come back to Jeweler's Row; great guy to deal with.
