Thx!

Keep em coming!

Regarding the search function, we use Google because in our opinion it is better than what comes with vbulletin, and google's healps us earn the $$$ to pay for the costs of keeping this up and running, so that might be hard to do. A blog associated with the message board might be feasible. I like that idea a LOT.

A home improvement section would be easy to add in.

I think getting people on here to chat with the community would be difficult because very often "those" people don't understand the power of online communities yet...think about it, not ONE mayoral candidate came on here to POST.

Keep em coming folks.

True, but do we know if any candidate was specifically asked? A Marketing Coordinator (MC) could definitely bring something together - many of the people are accessible; it would be a matter of organizing the chat and making it easy for the politico, businessperson, celeb, etc. to come on, do their thing, and then it's up to him or her to take it further or quit. We could lock the thread once the chat is over, thus this way it reduces the slamming. Slamming would certainly be the main con, but I think it could be reduced if a variety of folks were offered.

With all the folks here, each has a possible contact that could be offered to the MC, and it grows from there. At the same time, the MC could be reaching out to specific individuals or organizations.

It's not. The vbulletin search lets you easily limit your search by date, by poster, by forum, number of replies, whether to just search titles or body, etc. It is nearly impossible to find a specific post or thread using the Google search function.

Other than that, I think the site is great and can't think of any specific improvements that need to be made.

I have to agree that the Search page is really frustrating. I can only sometimes find what I'm looking for.

Can we get a spellchecker? Christ, if edits counted as posts I would have 20,000 from typos alone.

It would be neat to have one of those maps that provides the intersections of where posters are located, but there would probably be privacy issues with that.

The PM functions are a little frustrating as well. Especially when trying to have ongoing conversations.
