As I wrote in the West Philly section, I see some reason for optimism in the murder trend over the last few months. I put this together pretty quickly, but I think it shows steady improvements that deserve wider reporting...

Thumbs up RE: Parkview post

Your data estimation of the murder rate in philly seems to be correct. Already here in philly as of 12:00am on the 26th there are 235 murders, huh at this rate we will far surpass last years rate, hell somebodies probably being killed as im typing this,, Its utterly ridiculous. Gun laws have to be changed within this city or were screwed!

That is not true. They don't have any more access than anybody else does.

You keep buying the same garbage the politicians and the college professors are selling to absolve themselves of responsibility.

DC has very strict gun laws and their gun homicide rate has always been astronomical.

District 1 - Frank DiCicco's district.

Robberies WITH guns from 1998 to 2005.

This is alarming.

I'm soooooooooo tired of family and friends telling me how I'm living in the murder capital.

Where can I find suburb stats on crime, e.g. Warminster, PA?
