Default Nice place with good chicken, good dessert

I like going to nice places to eat (nice = expensive).

My date only really eats chicken (definately no red meat and not a big fan of fish). Good chocolate desserts are also a must.

I'm looking for a place that will satisfy us both, so I don't have to eat at any more chain restaurants We're both mid-twenties.

Suggestions?

The chicken thing makes this tougher.

Opus might be a place to try.
Maybe one of Steven Star's places. I'm sure they will have kinda plain chicken, with nice desserts.

Your date may have to request something not on the menu.

I can't remember the last time I ate chicken when I went out to eat.

If you didn't say you were mid-20's, I would have thought your date was my co-worker.

Even though I'm a vegetarian, I go out to eat with this girl alot with the same preferences so I've picked up some good ideas. Italian places are always good bets. Adriatica serves a chicken dish and great dessert, Jones, Buddakan...I'll get more places from her when I see her.

haha...

I figured I wasn't the only guy with a girl who was picky about what she eats. Thanks for the suggestions so far... keep em coming.

This is one of my favorites. Always has organic and local produce, meats.

www.whitedog.com

It's in University City.

Opus 251 is closed down after 7 years.

As for other places you can try... I would say
Founders Restaurant at the Bellevue,
Fountain at the Four Seasons
Brasserie Perrier,
The Palm,
Deux Chaminees,
Vetri's,
Lacriox,
Tiramisu

I've been to these places (with the expense account of course  ), and I can say they are all awesome places!

You should also try Fork at 3rd and Market. Excellent food and a great place to take a date.

I agree that all of those places are awesome, but do they have the kind of chicken dishes needed for his girlfriend ?

Maybe I am misunderstanding the chicken part, but I thought he needed very simple almost plain chicken for his girl.

In all the years that I have worked in restaurants we rarely would put something like that on a menu at one of the finer restaurants.

I will also admit, it's something that I never really have paid attention to on a menu.

When did Opus close ?

My recommendations are for simple chicken. Although he didn't state that--good chicken, he said.

I have more recommendations on my work notepad. Off the top of my head, she said Marathon...I can't remember the rest...
