Default k here is my review

We went on Wed night- here is my quick review- 3 of us- 1 pitcher of white peach margaritas and the following....

ground beef picadillo empanadas- pretty boring...not worth it as far as apps go...

Cabrito – slow-cooked goat tacos- AMAZING. simply amazing. Portion size was 3 tacos and very filling- I only finished 2. Can't imagine why you would order the full dish when this one comes with so much goat. delicious.

Costillitas - tamarind barbecue pork ribs,- also highly recommend- tender fall off the bone meat and melty in the mouth yum.

Pulpo a las Brasas al Mojo de Ajo - grilled baby octopus- also delicous..not as good as the other two dishes but different and good.

Sopapillas - I was hoping these would be the big puffy ones that you poke a hole into and pour honey inside...but they were flat with fresh fruit and chocolate drizzle on top. Huge portion size and simply delicious- I left feeling ok they were not what I was hoping for!

It cost a little over $30 per person. not bad. My only complaint other then the boring empanadas was that we didn't get chips and salsa. I think chips and salsa should always be free and I think its a shame that they either over looked serving it to us (everyone else seemed to have them) or that they want you to pay for them.

otherwise we will definently be back!

Sounds like a busboy oversight. Chips and salsa have always been free at the original Cantina, but it's not something the normal wait staff does there, but the same people who tend water glasses and such.
