Something is definitely going on. The windows were all cinder-blocked up...now they are removed and covered with plywood as you said. If anyone has any information as to what is going here that would be great. Its right around the corner from my house and am curious as to what is going on!

don't know who owns it but i saw an Atid Property Management van out there the other day - does anyone know anything about this company?

Atid is an Israeli property management company, they have bought up tons of homes and warehouses in all sections of the city, they do pretty nice work from what i have seen.

http://2424studios.com/comingsoon/ it will be studio space starting at $400/mo. No residential. That parcel is zoned general industrial and apparently they couldn't get a variance the last time miles & generalis came around and proposed lofts (which the neighbors shot down). There's already a ton of studio spaces available in East Kensington - it makes me wonder if they can actually fill this building. |
