Lightbulb Kensington Residents I need your help

My name is Leah I知 a journalism student at Temple University, assigned to report on the Kensington neighborhood. I知 not a Philly native and unfamiliar with the heart and soul of your neighborhood and would love to hear firsthand about your experiences and concerns. Most of the stories will end up on our student ran website (http://www.temple.edu/murl/Default.htm) but some may also be picked up by local papers. I知 looking for the types of nuances about your community I can稚 get from a google search. Information about events, social groups, your block caption, community leaders, your favorite deli anything can be turned into a news worthy story. All information is welcomed and thanks in advance.
Leah

I think a good start would be to contact the East Kensington Neighbors Association. They have a website (www.ekna.org) and the monthly General meetings are held at the Philadelphia Brewing Co. Good luck.

I have a lot of stories about people and groups from Kensington, but most of them are pretty bad, and wouldn't show Kensington in a very good light. I lived on the outskirts of Kensington, but had a lot of friends who lived there and spent a good part of my life there, and I still work in Kensington at the moment.

But if you have any question, just send me a message, and I will give you my e-mail.
