I have no idea about pricing, but I went there recently for a food event and a few years ago for a wedding and reception. It was by far the most elegant space I've been to for a wedding. Gorgeous interior and not ostentacious or tacky in the least like a lot of spaces are. The food was incredible. There was a valet which would be an absolutely necessity because parking around there would probably be awful. Good luck!

I've been to a wedding there and my wedding is there in 2 Saturdays. The place is great. We checked all the major venues in the city and came back to Cescaphe because of the package they give you. I would say it's reasonable priced when compared to the other major wedding venues in the city, but it's still very pricey. They offer a package that includes cocktails, hor devours and dinner. The food is the best part, they really do a giant spread for cocktail hour with lobster, crab legs, shrimp, sushi plus all of the regular expected items. They also have top of the line drinks.

Let me know what you are comparing to and I can probably tell you if it's reasonable priced or not.

Congrats Jettore! We have just started looking, we are planning on having small destination wedding and then want to come back and have party. We have nothing yet to compare it to. Really just dont want to break the bank, don't need anything over-the -top. Want a real realxed environment. Do you think cescaphe ballroom has packages for just cocktail and horsdeuveres (sp) party? Would love the moshulu, but way overpriced and you have to get your own band, flowers etc. With the package @ Cescaphe does it include these things? Thanks!

Cescaphe only does the space, food and drink in thier package so you still need to get the other things on your own. They do work with an in-house florist or you can bring your own. We looked at the Moshulu also and thought it was overpriced. Cescaphe's package on Saturday's is less, but not by a great amount. The place really books up on Fri and Sat, so I doubt they would do a cocktails and hors devours on those days plus they have a 175 person minimum on Saturdays. Maybe an off night they might do it, but you would need to check with them. Give them a call, everyone there is really nice.

How many people do you think? I have been to every venue in the city so I could probably send you a list of other places that might be interesting.

Not sure if this will be helpful at all, but it might influence your decision on where to have your wedding. From what I've heard, the neighbors in the area really hate Cescaphe. I gather they are not good at keeping their promises and don't get along well with the neighborhood association and the neighbors in general. If you go over to the northern liberties message board and ask people about it, you'll hear many of them bitch about the place.

Doesn't say much about how nice of a place it might be. It could be a wonderful place to have a wedding. But its something you may want to take into account if you're deciding between places.

If you call them they will tell you.
Most places have banquet pricing brochures.
Each events may have variations.
