Kids (Catch the Reading Bug):
Children, preschool through 6th grade can sign up at their local library and start a reading folder. They earn stickers and prizes weekly by reading library books. using other library materials, and participating in activities. Teens (Metamorphosis @ Your Library): Anyone going into grades 7 through 12 can fill out a raffle entry form each time they read a book or magazine, watch a library video, surf the web at the library, read to a younger child, and more. Each library will hold three prize raffles, and every teen will receive a small prize when they complete their first raffle ticket. Camps and other groups: Summer camps and other groups may also participate in Catch the Reading Bug. Books, printed materials, and prizes can be provided so that groups may run their own programs. Library staff can make site visits and present a library program, or groups can schedule visits to their local libraries. Please call your local library to schedule an appointment. Summer Reading Online: Kids, teens, AND ADULTS can sign up online at www.freelibrary.org/summerreading to participate in Summer Reading Online and submit book reviews and more to enter a weekly online prize raffle.
