Default Fishtown dry cleaners

I need a good dry cleaner that is either walking or reasonable Septa distance from my home at Tulip and Seargant Streets.

Any suggestions?

you could take the 5 bus to girard & front, then go to bill's european tailor shop. the cleaning doesn't occur on-site but he's pretty reliable and a good guy. cash only, i believe.

Default dry cleaner in Port Richmond plaza (NOT good)

Has anyone ever taken their clothes to this one? The woman that works there (and owns the shop) has a really BAD attitude...she never says hello, thank you,....nothing! All she says when you walk in is "phone number", and seems very annoyed. They're also expensive. I take my dry cleaning to work with me and use the cleaners in town.

I think the place is owned by the same people who run Beer City. And I believe the woman in the Dry Cleaners is probably his wife. His personality sucks as well.

i went to the beer city cleaners once and when i tried to pick up my clothes, i couldn't get them 'cause the woman was totally passed out in the back of the store and refused to wake up despite my attempts to rouse her.

I'm sorry, *laughing hystarically* but I just spewed water all over my monitor after reading your thread. Actually, I think I peed myself a little as well! Not only unfriendly, but a lazy slouch.

So, you could see her plain as day passed out in the back? Did you poke her with a stick? I would have Tbag'd her....

How did you get your clothes back.

yup. she was sitting down draped over one of the tables in the back -- arms covering her head -- totally unconscious. luckily it was only a couple sweaters and i didn't need them right away. so i went back the following weekend and she was actually awake that time. i did think about going into beer city and asking them to give her a shake but honestly that just meant more interaction with those folks and it wasn't worth it to me.

i wonder if she was going to be the receptionist in the failed 'days inn/revolving restaurant' business plan??

t-bagged her? now I just made an a$$ out of myself work laughing at my conspicuously serious looking monitor.
