Thanks so much. I've been stressing about it, but you've made me feel much better about it. My biggest goal was to have at least one spare room and be near 95 (I will travel to Princeton a few days a week for work and didn't want to be on 76/676.)
Thanks, again! |

Getting to Princeton..
95 gets a little screwy in jersey.. your best bet is probably to switch over to route 1 up a little further north after taking 95 out of the neighborhood. You might also want to look into the R7 septa regional rail to the NJ Transit NE Corridor line. |

The local civic refers to this neighborhood as Olde Richmond. Much like the surrounding neighborhoods of Fishtown to the south and East Kensington to the west, you'll find that the neighbors are very much involved and generally take pride in their community. Your new home lies within the area of the Olde Richmond Civic Association. you can visit their website at http://olderichmondca.com/. I'd suggest attending a meeting - you'll learn so much about your new home and meet lots of great neighbors

Weeble,
I'm coming from Somerville (tho, did an unhappy stint in Newton for a year) and love it. I've never been a "right in the city" kind of person, having lived in Queens, Hoboken and Somerville during my big city living. I hope I like Philly. I lived there briefly after college, but was so broke I never left my apartment. Do you know of any off-leash dog parks in the area? I take my dog to the Fells in Winchester now, which has acres and acres of off-leash space. I know I won't find anything like that, but he's a border collie with lots of energy, so I need to find something! |

I know the area pretty well. Is that the new construction across on the corner of Webb and Sergeant. I just ask because I know and have worked fot the guy who owns and is rehabing 2531 and 2533 and they are about a month from completion.

for what's it worth, in terms of dog parks, there is an off-leash dog park in Northern Liberties within walking distance or a 4 minute car ride from you.
If you are still looking for a park with acres and acres, I highly suggest Freedom Run dog park in Medford, NJ - if you have a car. It's massive and all fenced in. Literally acres surrounded by trees with many wide opens fields for your pup to run in. welcome. |
