I have a woody plants garden in my backyard and have just added to it by planting organic bell peppers, peas, and cantaloupe. I have to read some more about gardening food since I was not raised doing it. Hopefully I can have at least a nice supply of bell peppers since I eat them a lot.

I don't think most of my neighbors are into such things. But are any of you also doing any fruit/veggie gardening?

I think it is a shame that since the industrial revolution most farming/gardening has been bred out of our daily lives.
I don't do it for the money. I think it is kind of cool growing your own. I have a grape vine, half dozen tomatoes, half dozen peppers, and a few other I try. I am going to plant a rasberry bush next year. My neighbors have one and it produces a great crop.

I never intended to grow much of a garden this year and now I regret not planting more because of how well everything is growing. Just noticed that one of my tomatoes is starting to ripen and I must have 20 little cukes on one vine. Picked my first bell pepper today and should have the first banana pepper next week.

Next year I'll see if I can grow enough to supply the block with tomatoes, cucumbers peppers and maybe eggplant. I'm not much of a veggie eater but I do have fun growing them.
