There was a little flap over this recently. If you get the Fishtown Star, check the editorial page for a full explanation.
Basically, the Beer City people want to build a 17-story hotel there, but the FNA told them they are not ready to propose such a project to the community, as there are still many details that must be discussed. They didn't like that answer, so they distributed there own zoning flyers. That's the story I know, unless there was a new flyer distributed since. was the flyer put out last weekend? |

Wawa will eventually buy that convenience store at Front and Girard. In like 10 years of course.

Um, there's a Wawa with gas at Aramingo and Cumberland. That's not even 1/4 mile. I don't think we need another Wawa, as nice as Wawas are. Frankly, I think this is another ploy on behalf of the owner of the Beer City to get zoning approved and put his property up for sale.
Hotels in Fishtown? C'mon. Someone read the Fishtown tourism article (or had it read to them) in the recent New York Times and got a little carried away.
