There's two choices:

(1) Move to Fishtown.
(2) Starting knocking on Blatstein's door. He owns all the remaining land in N. Libs.

Blatstein wants a Hotel in NoLibs..It's in limbo right now due to the NLNA and The Zoning Board transformation.

But the next meeting for that is in March.

It'll be on 2n St across from The Standard Tap.

So That has a better chance of making it out then Beer City.

Also, maybe they read more recent reports about Tower Investment's proposal to build a 13 story hotel at 2nd and Poplar.

How do they say, A New Day, A New Way?

To be closer to Wawa? I mean, Wawa is great and everything but...

Default flyer not endorsed by FNA

From another poster on fishtown.us....
http://fishtown.us/node/8904

The flyer you received is inaccurate and not endorsed or sponsored by the FNA Zoning Committee.
The owner of the property came before the committee a few weeks ago to discuss this project and to request a community meeting. The committee informed the owner that he would be notified when an opportunity to present to the community might be scheduled. The owner of the property posted flyers not endorsed by the FNA Zoning Committee stating that there would be a community meeting on February 12th about this project. To be clear, this was not endorsed by the committee and no meeting was held. The owner has again posted flyers stating that a meeting will be held on March 3. No such meeting has yet been scheduled and no meeting will take place on March 3 because it is a Monday. Official FNA Zoning Community Meetings are only scheduled for the first three Tuesdays of every month.
Official community zoning meetings are posted on this site, the FNA's website www.fishtownlife.com, and in both local newspapers. The Zoning Committee also posts flyers for meetings per the committee rules.
Please check these sources for any upcoming community zoning meetings

Screw Fishtown... Kensington is the next place to be. Of course when it gentrifies more it will get "subdivided" into mini-neighborhood names because the residents (or RE-AHL-TAWRS) will want to distinguish themselves.

Problably North Kenso, South Kenso, East Kenso, West Kenso, South Central Kenso, Southeast Kenso....

Yours truly has been keeping an eye on rentals in that area; leaning towards buying right now... but want to be very close to the El.

Thanks for reposting this here. I was about to do it myself, but looks like you beat me to the punch.

Indeed. It was between buying in Fishtown or Kensington for me and I landed in Kensington by Master. All the cool kids will live above Girard once Bart breaks ground at 2nd and Girard.

(nothing against Fishtown of course)

I received the flyer as well. It seems whenever there is a redevelopment project taking place in the area it seems to be looked negatively at by most on this forum. I don't necessarily understand how anyone can support growth without actually growing? Any input would be appreciated as I'm eager to learn your perspective on this.
