Just to be clear, although there exist official containers (and, apparently, stickers, which was news to me) you don't actually need to use them. Your container doesn't even need to be blue, although the official ones are so that makes yours easier to identify as such.

Single stream (all in one container, including corrugated cardboard and 1&2 plastics) is going city-wide in July. I heard they may start in the river wards in May, but it might just be that they are starting to promote/distribute information in May. I assume they'll have some sort of big earth-day kickoff for this announcement. (It's on the city's recycling site already.)

FYI, Fishtown is part of this round of additions, even though the newspaper failed to report that.
So there is no more 1st Saturday recycling done by the FNA on Montgomery and Moyer Streets, if you missed previous announcements.
