I remember that like it was yesterday. He went to get a copy book at the supermarket right there. I remember they said there was blood around his little body
I was 8 or 9 at the time. Didn't they find him on the rail road tracks? |

Bet there are so many unsolved murders and it would be a great thing to print old articles and postings from yesteryear and maybe someone may remember something from a case to solve something today in this time. The newspapers need to do some research and post old stories. People forget, and then they remember when they are reminded.

That show "Cold Case" did a show on this murder, and as they do they throw in other things so it's not "exactly" like the true crime.
The story they put out involved a priest and the parents. Not of course as the murderers, but some fake twist going on. I'd have had no idea but my mom remembered this horrific crime like it was yesterday, and pointed it out to me. Then I looked some information up about it. I had no idea his dad was a police officer. Mayfair Chick is absolutely right although I wonder how the family would feel about it being put back out there? Not any worse than having that TV show focusing on things that didn't happen. My sympathy and prayers for this family. I can't fathom how much pain that caused them. |

I remeber this as well. I was a year older than Eric and also attended St. Hugh's. It was a big deal. I remember parents being very nervous after this. I thought about Eric a few years ago and googled his name. I was very surprised that there was nothing out there. This is an unsolved murder that needs attention. In this age of the internet the story should be out ther because there must be someone out there that knows something.
