Default Wino Bar Lounge

Any locals been over to have a drink at Wino at 5th & Poplar. New establishment opened few weeks ago. Good music to dance and chill. A full food menu soon to come. Its tucked away in a more residential street then alot of the 2nd-3rd street pubs and eats. Worth checking out.

There is an extensive thread on this very subject at http://www.northernliberties.org

It seems they had a soft opening a couple of weeks ago and the crowd was more the finnegans wake/delaware ave crowd then the normal NL hipsters and a couple of fights broke out during their soft opening?? I miss Minfo and W&J.

I stopped in last Friday at 8:30PM on the way home from eating out. Interior looks nice. Bottled beer is $3 or $4, glass of wine is about $6-$8. Reasonable enough.

They told me they didn't open until 9PM and wouldn't sell me a drink which made for an underwhelming first impression considering everything seemed ready to go other than my being a few minutes early.

I'll give it another shot at some point mostly since it's just soooo close to my house, but it doesn't seem like a net gain so far. On the plus side, they will at least have a kitchen eventually. MOI lost a lot of allure once they stopped selling food.
