McCrossen's used to have a great dart scene with lots of pickup games and lots of money changing hands. However the dart board is not in the most convenient spot so you have to be patient. Also, there are some serious throwers there so you might not want to accept a for money game. Its best to go there later in the night, say around 11 or 12 and some of these characters might be around. The best time is usually late night on a saturday or friday, close to closing time.

Chug-a-Mug has a dart board. It is at 2301 E. Albert St. I don't think they have a league right now. They also have a pool table.

The Abbaye and Standard Tap are both really, really great places, but not for darts. The board at each is located in a really bad spot.

In Center City O'Neals, Dark Horse and Bards are all great for darts.

In Fishtown/Richmond, Drews (not far from Greensgrow) should have a good dart scene. They have been in the same division as us several times. Nice guys (real Fishtowners not Yuppies (not that there's anything wrong with being a Yuppie), though they beat us for jackets last half.

We have an open Sunday dart shoot at The Grey Lodge Pub (www.greylodge.com) on Sundays at around 3pm. And there usually are shooters around for a pick-up game most nights.

I was going to suggest Dirty Frank's and I saw your post. Jay McConnell has had the place since 1978 and I use to hang out there a lot until I moved away in 1984 but I always stop back when I am in the city.

Dirty Frank's is at 347 S 13th Street which is the NE Corner of 13th & Pine Streets.

I play darts with some friends after work at Black Sheep in CC. Awful house darts and one of the boards is falling apart, but it's usually empty down there during HH unless there is a private wharton party.

yello'bar darts are in a downstairs area that is usually quiet. Both boards are new-should check it out.

Perrys! Huntingdon and Trenton Ave. The darts aren't in great condiditon but the board is in a good spot and the drinks are cheap. Plus the bartenders and awesome and the jukebox is decent.

I think they are part of the leagues too- but I make no promises.
