I don't think you're in grave danger really. When you look closely on the murder map, there really isn't a ton of stuff in that general vicinity. The times I've gone through there, I haven't really felt like I'm in danger, it just makes me terribly sad.

Most of the shooting are west of kensington ave. This area does have a few good blocks.

In general the closer to aramingo the better. South of lehigh the prices have gone up a lot lately, so who knows maybe years down the road this area could improve. Its just north of "portfishington" whatever that area south of lehigh is called these days. And its just west of port richmond. Waterfront development would be huge for the area.

I just moved to Allegehny Ave near Aramingo Ave.

The place is pretty rough but I mostly stick to myself so I havn't had any trouble.

I also jog to the gym (balleys) on aramingo, have only done it twice but havnt been killed or beaten up yet. I do get brothas looking at me trying to scare me for no reason though.

If you don't let stupid people get to you the area is not bad. Also I hope you don't mind hearing ambulances and police cars driving up and down allegehny ave all night with sirens blasting on friday and saturday nights. You don't need a calendar to tell what day of the week it is around here.
