Anyone have a favorite corner bar they go to? Once in a blue moon my boyfriend and I will drag friends out for a bar crawl in Fishtown. Needless to say we have seen it all and have been pleasantly surprised and very afraid. Just looking for some feedback on where to go.

I like good ol' Doobies. Cheap, friendly, and not usually too crowded. But living in West Philly, we don't really have any corner bars so that's the closest one we like.

Jovan's at York and Memphis. I love this place. Great food and serves Yards. The family is Yugoslavian and the yugo burger is fantastic, very good stuffed cabbage, and the mash potatoes with spinach are the best.

Try Boggers at Coral and York

I stopped by El Castillo yesterday and loved it. I couldn't understand the jukebox though
