thanks to all of you who have been helpful on the job front by the way, I am still seeking a graphic designer position or admin assistant position, preferably the latter, so wish me luck!

I am going to be living in Fishtown, Frankford Ave to be exact, and with all this parking discussion I am a little worried. Do you think I will be able to park on the street in that neighborhood or will I have to pay for a parking space somewhere? I assume I need to get a parking permit from the city if I street park, which I imagine will be easy enough to figure out how to get the permit once I arrive in Philly.

Are you from Boston? You don't need a permit to park here. Hey--I've been here a year and I've never even got a hassle over my NY plates on my car. {Shhh....} Honestly I am planning on parking right in front of my house in Fishtown when I move in next month---I'm inbetween Frankford and Girard though. I am planning, though, when cash flow is a little better...to get an alarm. I have a swell older woman across the street from me who watches the neighborhood and I imagine she'd beat the heck out of anyone with her broom who mussed with the block...but it's good to have a back-up plan.
