I also posted this on fishtown.us. We are looking to do a commemorative piece on Joseph Konrad for the "Sketches of Fishtown" project. Can anyone point me in the direction of a photo for reference? Even if I can find a place to get in touch with his family (that you can email me). I'm waiting to hear back from Local 22's PR Department. And I know the mural is up, but I feel strange referencing someone else's art for a drawing (although I will do some loose sketching at Konrad Square for this piece).

This is a really important one. My Dad fought at the fire that took Joe. Joe Konrad lost his life fighting to preserve the lives of the people of Fishtown. It means a great deal that we show our appreciation in this art project.

The owner of the home that the mural is on, is with Friends of Konrad Square. NKCDC's Land Use Management department was also involved with the mural and has some clippings. I'd be happy to contact them if you email me directly with your contact info.
