You are invited to a FREE Public Performance of:
"Of Mythic Proportions" A Storytelling Performance by students from Kensington CAPA High School based on stories of their own lives. Directed by Michelle Pauls of B. Someday Productions and The Walking Fish Theatre. When:Thursday, May 17 starting at 5:00PM Where: Coral Street Art House, 2446 Coral Street, Philadelphia, PA 19125 Why: These stories illuminate the impact violence has on our young people growing up in the city. How can we change things? What can we do? Also with professional storyteller Irma Hammond of Keepers of the Culture. She will share some of her stories about growing up and how she became who she is. Then she will lead a short how-to for those interested in learning more about storytelling and how it can be a subtle yet forceful tool for change. Ending with a reception and refreshments.
