Default CasiNO Free Philadelphia fundraiser at North Bowl

North Bowl is holding a fundraiser for CasiNO Free Philadelphia on Friday April 27th from 5:30 to 7:30. For a $25 donation you get 2 free hours of bowling and $2 Yards on tap. If you think Philly residents should have a right to vote whether we want casinos in our neighborhoods, please come out and help the cause.

Default Isn't this duck dead?

I thought the Supreme Court nixed the Casino question. So the funds are being raised for who and/or what, exactly?

First of all, it was an injunction, so the question might still get on the ballot (unlikely, but still possible). Second, even if the question still gets knocked off, it's still not over. There are other lawsuits on the books or being planned (surrounding zoning and riparian rights), there are friendly lawmakers in state senate that CasiNO free and DRNA are working with, etc... Look it's always been a tough road, but alot of dedicated people have put in a tremendous effort to give Philadelphians some sort of a voice in the process and the Supreme Court ruling is just another roadblock.
