Default Tower Investments: More Management Woes

Even though this subject matter has been reported many times on these boards, I figured that I will nonetheless give the latest updates on what hell it can be living in a building managed by Tower Investments.

I repeatedly reported window leaks to the managment since I moved in October 1st. This issue is not confined to my unit but rather is pandemic to the entire building as the management is well aware. Of course, nothing has been done and with yesterday's rain, the problem is worse than ever. The building was obviously not ready for occupancy when people moved in and not much has been done to rectify the many maintenance situations that have arisen. Needless to say, I am extrememly unhappy with the managment and would strongly recommend that anyone considering moving into a Tower hell hole should reconsider.

I enclosed some pictures. In case you can't tell, water leaks into the sides and creeps along the cinderblock wall. It is now reaching the drywall. There are also large puddles on the floors.

cant see pics

Sorry to hear man. I was looking for a place in Oct and I remember you posting about HS. I almost moved in...but a nice home got my attention so I bought it instead. Also, they promised me parking...then backed out as I got closer to signing a lease.

Damn shame Tower keeps cutting corners with their projects. The concepts are awesome...seems like execution falls short every time.

Crap. I can see the pics, so I am not sure what the problem is. Sorry about that. Take my word for it though, the pics demonstrate more than enough to show that Tower does shoddy work. If anyone needs more proof, I can send them.

I agree with you about the neat concepts. That's what hooked me. But alas, I hope to be a homeowner again when the lease is due. (I would love to terminate the lease ASAP, if that turns out to be possible.)

Your links do not work. Server denies access to images.

I'm really sorry to hear that this happened to you...I was a former Tower resident (BOONE) and many of us who watched the constuction of your building knew this would be the result...they didn't seal the cinderblock where it's exposed to the elements, for ONE...
Not to mention that this kind of thing is their M.O.

Get out while you can. DEMAND your deposits back and to be let out of the lease. Post your photos on northernliberties.org.... http://pub50.bravenet.com/forum/4226496069/

Document, document, document, and if you haven't by now, CALL L&I and file a complaint.

I've been there, done that. They don't listen or care unless you're the "squeakiest wheel."

Here are your pics...it's easier to upload photos to Photobucket.com.

Make an f'ing pain out of yourself like I did- you'll be happier in the end.
