I hate to complain but a friend and I went and we were pretty disappointed. We showed up around 4pm...and enjoyed what was there...(picked up some shoes at the shoe store, bought some baby presents for an expecting friend at Art Star (made by Fishtown's PlaidPony!) but was disappointed to see so many stores not participating (not even open!). It seemed like a great opportunity for the pilates studio, the dog grooming place, etc., to set up little booths with information but it seemed half the stores didn't participate!
The most disappointing aspect was the $3 Deuce mojito. I think we waited about 40 (40!) minutes for a mojito--there was ONE bartender to attend to all the tables AND the bar. The mojito was horrible. I can't imagine how long the wait would have been if it had been a really sunny, non-windy nice day! Since this thing was advertised pretty well and everyone I met while waiting in line for a drink was from outside of the neighborhood, it would have been nice to make a great impression by having maybe 3 bartenders. It just seems like a bad idea to make a hard to make drink on special and not prepare for it adequately. It can best be described as a disaster yesterday at Deuce! Hopefully next time more stores will participate and maybe we'll try the new Hikaru there next time!

Oh and Think Music is a cute little store---everyone should check it out. For a small store, a very good selection of music and dvds.

Duece is an outside the hood kinda place anyhow now... we usually avoid it on events or busy nights. We went to Brown Betties to score some of those incredible cupcakes and then hung out with the crew @ Trophy bikes to watch the ReLoad rally participants get their bikes weighed in on their races. Good time. We went to Std Tap after that to get some more of the throwback lagers and then hit up The Foodery for a 6-pack.... not a bad afternoon. Oh yeah, we went and checked out the end of the Popped festival, the show was on Hancock St and that was cool as well.
