Default Just bought a house in Port Richmond...

Any of my neighbors here? Where are the cool places to go? I drove by a coffee house named Hinge, any good?

Check out Mercer Cafe, at Mercer and Westmoreland, they make a good breakfast. Tasty coffee to boot!

Hey,

I live in Port Richmond. The HINGE is GREAT. Best desserts, good coffee and very nice people!! Go to the Hinge!! They alos have free concerts on Monday and Thursday, a must see.

Tonight (7/19) the Polish American String Band is playing a free concert at Campbell Square park (Allegheny Ave and Almond). Check it out.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

Default Port Richmond

Hey Folks...

The weekend of September 18th & 19th there's going to be a lot going on in the 3200 block of Amber - between Allegheny and Westmoreland. There are some artists (myself included) up there who are having or participating in open houses. I work out of The Ceramic Shop, www.theceramicshop.com, and our open house is on the 18th from 3 to 7. There are going to be all kinds of events. I will have more information on my site - www.petercunicelli.com within the next week.

Port Richmond is a very cool place and more and more artists are working out of there. I hope a lot of you want to check it out.

P

Hello:

We bought a great two story row here in Port Richmond after selling a "mini-mansion" in University City. It has been heaven. The neighbors drop by with gifts, they work, so they sleep at night.

Our gas bill is cut by 1/4, in the summer two air conditioners handle everthying. We have no vaagrants on the front porch, nor pissing in the side yard.

The neighbors have no tolerance for slum-lords, if a moron drives by blaring music they run out and tell them off. As the Commish of L&I wrote me, even pigeons here don't $hit where they live."

Great place totally under-rated!

Carles: That is so great for you. Enjoy. Everyone I know that lives there just loves it.

When I visit my friend it reminds me of a quaint little town. That place Daddy O's is cool. Even the crossing guards, and the little kids going to school in the morning are pleasant.

All good things in your new home.

ACE- Pretzel Vendor:

Thanks were going to ditch Philly and move to CT or NH, but this suits us fine.

The Commish of L&I said folks up here were white but not trash. Seems he has brains. If my dog gets one more present I shall go broke.

The kids nextdoor jumped the wall this weekend and I went out to yell at them. They were like, "just cleaning up for you Mister" Was so touhed. Such good boys, I spottedthem $10 a pop and they said their Mom was gonna be pissed so I talked to her.

Is an amazing change from Cedar Park.
