I understand completely as we have donated to liberty lands in the past (I take my kids there all the time) but I only had $7 in my wallet. I would have gladly hit an ATM if there was one around and paid the ten bucks for one beer, but the guy basically insinuated that I was being cheap and instead refused to give me one bonus beer for my donation (I suggested $5, but would gladly have emptied my wallet of the entire $7). He suggested I "bum" the remaining $3 from someone, which I thought was a bit silly given my predicament.

I think I went to this... I know I went to something @ Liberty Lands around that time frame.

There was this really kick @$$ band called something like Swenya Motors that I wish I could buy a CD of but can't find one. Anybody have more info?

Interesting: There is a listing (with no phone number) saying that the Music Festival starts at 3:00 PM. It says monies go to Liberty Lands. this is on northernliberties.org - a commercial site.

But there is no mention of it on the Northern Liberties Neighborhood Assoc. site (nlna.org). That site does show a flea market and car festival on Spring Garden on Oct. 3.

You might just want to double check before going.

I saw a sign at Orianna Hill dog park about it...I'm sure it's going on.

Incidentally, the dog park has happy hours on like every other Friday from 5 to 7pm-ish that goes to support the annual Houndoween Party (this year on 10/23)...check it out and support a good cause. Always brings in a lot of cute dogs at this time too!

The above is the website but there's not a listing for it yet. I know it's that date because, well, I talked to the guy who puts it on every year. There's pics of past costumes. It looks really cute.

Anyway, there's food, drinks (I believe Yards donates beer or something), and prizes for the best dog costumes. I am still trying to figure out what my handsome boy will be going as.
