Hi Dan,
I think you missed my point and I am sorry I was not clear. I find the comparison between that bumbling character that in my mind makes fun and ridicules people who are committed to walking with Christ, and equating it to the Christian families in this neighborhood. It is insulting and I can't believe that no one else picked up on that. In my mind that comment is the same as saying something like water melon eating contest in Konrad Square and someone replying, I didn;t know Amos and Andy were sponsoring the picnic in Fishtown. maybe a drastic comparison, but that is how I felt. It is not uncommon to see families sending children to the bible schools they went to as children themselves! Why is it so hard to imagine hard working, Christian people living here who would be interested in knowing about this event? Our kids do mpre than drugs you know and insulting the promotion of this activity is unacceptable and I am frankly just tired of the stereotypes about Fishtowners! Michelle :rolling_:

Right, it's Homer who's the beer guzzler, and, if not an actual atheist, at least more of a religious free-thinker (as in the classic episode "Homer's religion").
I'll be taking off work next week to celebrate the Feast of Maximum Occupancy myself. |
