Default Polish Markets in Port Richmond

Hi All,
I'll be visiting with my mom later this week and will be stopping for lunch in Port Richmond on the way up there (NE philly). I plan on going to Syrenka's to eat, then to one or two markets to get some kielbasa and such. I would like to hit any or all of Krakus Market, Baltic bakery and Czerw's...
Does anyone know why Czerw's website apparently doesn't exist anymore? www.kielbasaboys.com
Are there any of these place with strange hours that I should know?
Are there any unbelievable specialties that are a can't miss? I do plan on getting a few kinds of kielbasa, perhaps bread and homemade saurkraut.
I plan on visiting Thursday early afternoon.
Thanks all!

Oh yeah! Kabanosi is my favorite. I'm going to hopefully get that, smoked and fresh for a platter to serve on Saturday.

Oh man. Thanks so much for this thread! I just remembered it when I saw a sign on the street for Czerw's when I was out driving today. Found the place and was it beautiful!!! I love little hidden places like this. Jeff was very generous with the samples, so no need for any other lunch today. I bought a pound of kielbasa and some hot kabanosa. Also couldn't stop myself from buying a pack of the cheesesteak pierogies, and some extra garlic pickles. I was going to get some of the stuffed cabbage as well, but forgot in the excitement of chewing on a bit of smoked meat. Next time...

So a question for all: If I like places like this, what other ones are there in Philly that I should know about? Feel free to link me to other sub-forums if not in Fishtown/NoLibs etc.

New Wave, the bar on Allegheny Avenue in Port Richmond. They have great Polish food and beer.

Thanks mate. That's appreciated and it sounds great - I shall plan on trying it, but I should add that I'm especially looking for interesting, family-owned food markets that have been in neighborhoods for many years. They don't have to be Polish either.

Then head to Fox Chase for the German stuff, and then straight over Rhawn Street until you hit Bustleton and hang a right and check out D'Attilo's Market.

Happy trails!
