This Saturday, the FNA will be collecting your plastics and mixed paper, as we always do on the first Saturday of each month.
We will also be initiating our inaugural First Saturday Clean-up. We will start small with a general clean-up of the area surrounding the cemetery. We will also have sign-ups for FNA block captains. This program is a lot like the city's block captain program. We will have all block captains fill out forms to join. During the next few weeks, we will distribute clean-up supplies (brooms, rakes, trashbags, gloves) to these block captains for use on the First Saturday of each month.

I can imagine that the cemetery clean-up was cancelled due to inclement weather, but was the recycling also cancelled/postponed? I stopped by but there was no one there, have you scheduled a new date for this month?

Sorry we missed you, but recycling starts at 9AM and ends at 11:30 or thereabouts. This month, the trucks didn't get here until about 12:45, leaving me and my trusty helpers all wet yet again. I swear it rains every month when we do this.

The clean-up was cancelled, but we are going to try to do it this weekend.

Our next recycling date is July 3rd.
