Default anyone up for happy hour tonight?

Hey--I know you all are pressuring me about the next Fishtown happy hour...and I haven't picked a date yet still...but seeing that my evening plans were cancelled, I have the evening free and would like to know if anyone feels like drinks at JB's?

How about if I add I had two really strong margaritas at lunch? Anyone?

How are the margaritas at J&B? I don't feel much for a beer tonight. I could do with a margarita and glass of some tasty tequilla though.

I'm not bragging or complaining but I just got back from Mexico city so I'm in search of the perfect margarita in Philly...again. The usual suspects in my area have some pretty grim offerings.

... I watched the bartender at one unnamed establishment smell the "freshly" pre-squeezed lime juice, whince visibly, then proceed to make the drink for someone...

Margaritas aren't really their thing, sad to say. I tend to go to Copa 2 for Quervo Gold margaritas but just because it's pretty cheap to get tanked there. Something about tequila that says "uh oh, better not go out in public like this".

Well looks like i'm going to Tria tonight. I don't think they have a happy hour or any tequilla for that matter....hey how the hayl did I get roped into this!

mexican post has some really really rank food but really cheap margaritas as well. I won't say they are good margaritas just that I think they use fresh juice, you can pick your tequilla and they have a small and a large pitcher...
It gets crowded as hell there and the bar area is small and they don't let drinkers sit at the tables when it's packed. When I was told this policy I unfortunately blurted out, "who the hell would eat here!" in front of dining customers so maybe i'm not welcome back....

That's exactly where we went for lunch today. I made myself eat the food so I could drink more and not spin. It was that or Cosmos at Vegas.

Hah! Ok. I've never eaten there. They served me extremely salty chips once when I was allowed at a table. In between light banter I watched the kitchen, which is a perverse pleasure of mine, and I swear the cook would come out once in awhile to amuse himself that people were actually eating the foul smelling stuff that they were carrying out to them.

So how was the food? What did you have? It seems like a very unsanitary place to me. More importantly will you ever eat there again?

Seems you have higher standards than me. What I really cared about was liquid lunch. Pitchers made this place a keeper. If I'll eat at Vegas, I'll certainly eat at Mexican Post. If only El Fuego would serve margaritas.

Alrighty, I'm ditching the happy hour idea. I should go back to my purgatory of painting anyway.

Man aren't you done with that place yet? You should make some margaritas and invite 10 people over to polish that place off.

Hey I'm not that picky I was eating stuff off the side of the road in Mexico last week. I do have a problem paying too much for unfresh crap food though. You probably pay the same for lunch at vegas or post as you'd pay at J&B's...am I right? I eat out a lot so I have to watch where I spend my dollar.
