So according to some administrators, the Fishtown section is by far the most active neighborhood thread on Phillyblog. Gets the most visitors, has the most interest. Based upon my communications with posters here on the Fishtown thread, a lot of folks only visit the Fishtown thread and not any other parts.

You may notice some player hating going on throughout Phillyblog, if in the rare instance, you may find yourself in other not-as-interesting or not-as-important parts of Phillyblog. There are people who are jealous they didn't buy in when you did. They want your house. They want our community involvement. They want our charming personalities, witty parlay, and astonishing good looks. To those I say, "Hate the game, don't hate the player." Or simply, "Nah nah nah nah boo boo."

Just remember, when you're down and giving in to their negativity, realize that you're better than them because you live here in this mecca of cool. So what if you've always lived here? It was always cool, and you were that much cooler because you lived here when it was "undiscovered". You made it discoverable. So what if you're not an artist, not a writer, not a television producer? You're cool just because you live here...if all you do is sit in your living room and pick lint out of your toes, you are still better than them. We are better than them. And they know it.

Now go forth in smug confidence that you don't even need a knit cap or a waif body to be better than everyone else. They can smell it on you--no, not the pungant smell of rotting tuna--yes, that's right, they can smell "Cool".

A response 5 minutes after I post it. They are watching us like hawks because they think if they study long enough, they can be in the know and learn how to be cool. Sorry Sycamore, you're born cool. It's not something you can learn.

That saying always makes me laugh when I read it cuz I think it's talking about beach volleyball.

There are those who have lived here all their lives. They are "cool by accident of birth".

There and those who have moved here in the last two years. They are "cool by following the trend".

Then, there are those of us who moved here 2-1/2 to 4 years ago. We are the "bleeding-edge truly cool".
