i checked out el mercado this saturday. looks like they have really let the place go, which is a shame 'cause the tacos i got at the lone 'active' stand were fantastic. otherwise, it was a ghost town in there. they must be opening for short periods of time on the weekends or something -- the business hours posted on the internet and on their front door are incorrect.

Any idea what is going on with this place now? Anyone brave enough to walk through the lot from Fishtown to the Berks stop?

i've survived the walk many times in the past couple of months but i haven't seen any activity on either weekdays or weekends. sadly, it looks like it's completely dead.

I read not too long ago that it failed.
