Wow! Thanks to the nearly 100 volunteers & local businesses who participated in Saturday’s re-scheduled Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Day Frankford Avenue & Pop’s Playground clean-ups. Members of FNA, Circle of Hope & the Girl Scouts joined organizers NKCDC, EKNA & CityYear, while Yards, Johnny Brenda’s, Eckert, CVS, Dunkin Donuts, Wells Meats, Thriftway, Applebee’s, Primo Pizza, Wawa, and Quik Stop contributed sustenance and supplies.
The transformation of Pop's playground is truly inspiring. The work went well past noon, until the rain began. Photos of everyone's amazing work will soon be on our website
www.nkcdc.org as well as the community newspapers.
