Yes - it's still architechtural warehouse. In fact, its only been one for about 8 months. The couple who owns the building runs "Old World" from the Doylestown area. They bought the Fishtown location, opened up a second location, and began renovating the upper floors as apartments. I took a tour in the early fall - the warehouse was just getting started, but the aparments were very cool spaces. They rent for just about $1 per foot per month - in the $800 to $1400 range depending on the size.

The building just down from it, which was most recently a "Big and Little Jimmy's" warehouse is also in the first stages of conversion right now. It's about twice the size as Old World, at the corner of Frankford and Wildley. There's another building on the opposite corner that was slated for conversion as well, but it looks like the owner is flipping it instead. Two years ago they were asking 1.2. I guarantee its double that now.

pmac: thanks!

Last I saw, that big white building at the corner of Frankford and Wildley (same side as Old World) was listed at $650k or so. I can not find the listing now....interesting

The property at Frankford and Wildey is going to be converted into 68 condos. My neighbor bought the building along with many others in Fishtown. He is investing a heck of a lot of money, hope it works out well for him. I just wonder how many new people can Fishtown can handle, there seems to be an enormous amount of new living spaces between here and NoLibs in the near future.

Is this the white building, or the one on the other corner that currently has work going on. Good news either way, they are cool buildings. Any sales info?
