Hell, just look in BRT for 1200 Frankford Ave, click the "search by block" and look at the prices vs. square footage. Oh, dont forget to look at the dates

BTW, does anyone here know Dan personally? Id like to meet him, and see what he has in inventory. From what I hear, he has quite the collection of fixer upper quirky cars.
The rumor mill says Alex Generalis bought it and is doing a high-rise. Think I heard this from another realtor. I think I then heard they got approval from the FNA zoning committee?

Don't be so hard on yourself brooke.

Malloy,

If you head North on Frankford Ave., from Girard, the AAA Building is one story building on your left next to a PPA lot.....right around Shacky & Frankford.....BTW, that condo conversion on Shackamaxon right there marketed by REMAX could be the single biggest joke in the history of Philly's condo market - sorry.

The AAA welding building. Classic - huh?
The guy from Monk's wanted it for another restaurant / brewery / bar; and the Baptist Church with an active membership of about 5, all but one from "outside" of the neighborhood, were able to shut down the idea. Seems churches do get mixed in politics especially with Marie Lederer on their side.
It was rumored she wanted it for a rehab center.

Then an artist bought it with modest ideas to convert it to her own single residence and huge studio. She charmed the pants of the usually sadistic Fishtown Zoning Club. I guess she has ditched the studio plan and now rumor is something like a mid-rise condo building with 20 units.

Now where will I get me Belgian fries?

I think they want $50k per parking spot too You need to talk to them on the phone. They are up there with the realtors/developer who did this project

Sorta. It was Nodding Head not Monk's. The Baptist Church was against it and Lederer wrote a letter to them saying the whole community was against it, never bothering to actually consult the rest of the neighbors. The Baptist Church wanted it to be a rehab. The FNA came out in support of it. Nodding Head actually abandoned the project for other reasons.

Two realtors bought it--both I hear associated with Miles & Generalis. They presented their ideas to the FNA Zoning Board as a high-rise. That was what got the approval.

What a shame though...would be nice to have another place that serves good bar food...I don't think we need more condos...though it will be cool to see what they will do with the space.

www.shackamaxoncourt.com

I love this quote from their site; "In fact, Shackamaxon means meeting place of the chiefs."

If the "chiefs" include Donald Trump, then I guess slot machines are destiny !
But that is another topic...
