I'm thinking someone officially set this Rotty free. If anyone is interested in a young purebred Rottweiler who is very friendly, a big cuddler and is okay with atleast my dog, please private message me. There's going to be an adoption fee. He needs to be housebroken, neutered and probably crate-trained and I'd estimate he's going to get to be about 125-140 lbs. He's about 90-100 lbs. right now.

Adoption fee? Where's he at? I have a half-Newfie/half black lab ... rottie's aren't too bad, and probably about the same size as this laplump, er, lump of fuzz I have. Newfies have this inherent need to sit next to their master, then slyly lean onto the master, such as on the leg or whatever is handy, then all of a sudden, rest their entire weight into the master. Then again, I tell the pooch to give me his jowls, and he does -- then I aggressively scratch his jaw and he melts in place. It's hilarious.

Yep, an adoption fee. I have him currently. I've read for a variety of reasons you never just give a dog away for free.

Rotties, in my experience, are like giant lap dogs to their family and friends and especially good with kids---and very protective of them. Thus far he's made an excellent watchdog...and made an excellent one out of my own collie/aussie. shepherd mix.

I'll pass this post along to a couple of friends who may still be looking for an oversized lap dog.

Good luck with the adoption... happiness is knowing that dogs find good homes.

He's actually learning a lot in a short period of time and is very endearing. I'm definitely not going to be placing him anywhere until references are checked and he is neutered...yeah, I feel like I'm running my own little adoption center here. If anyone has a large-sized crate to spare, I'd definitely appreciate it though I think I may have him mostly housebroken (I think he was just nervous before).

Vet check-in was today for anyone who is following this..."Mason" is a healthy purebred Rottweiler of 95 lbs. and between 1 and 1/2 years old...and who will probably only gain about 5 more lbs. The vet says male rotties are notorious for marking their spot when they haven't been neutered and due to a streak of luck (or not!) for Mason, they have an opening tomorrow for him to be neutered.

His first trip to Orianna Hill was post-vet's appointment today. That didn't go so well. He was great with a small dog and a big, fluffy one...and pretty horrible with a boxer. In fact, that's all he wanted to do was hump the dog and the boxer growled and bit at him. And then I completely lost control of Mason, who became solely focused on humping this dog. So thankfully he gets neutered tomorrow! This should take care of most of the issues.
