Default 95S?

This is hopefully a simple enough question...

How do you jump onto 95 south from fishtown? 95N was easy enough... except I wanted to go south.

Hmm gee, maybe it's that big ramp leading to 95 S next to the Port Richmond shopping plaza at the intersection of Aramingo&York.

so if you're heading down girard towards the fork, veer to the left onto aramingo.

i like the signing conventions in pennsylvania. like in plymouth meeting, where there will be a giant sign telling you to head in this direction for the turnpike west... but no sign for the turnpike east or 476 even though they are in the same direction.

or how in most places you'll see directions to delaware, or chester, or new york.... but philadelphia conveniently falls off the radar until you are on top of it.

not a big deal once you've driven it and have your bearings... but makes it loads of fun giving directions because people always think they have somehow missed a turn somewhere or gone too far.

philadelphia... modern day shangrila.

LoL, I know what ya mean. If you think PA is bad, try Southern New Jersey. Them and their damn jug handle turns..Grrrrr

Philly must also be the only city that can have blocks and blocks of one way streets going the same way, traffic lane wise, and streets that dead end into eachother.

Go down girard, then veer of to the left, that will take you onto Aramingo Ave. Turn right into the shopping plaza parking lot, make a quick U turn to exit the plaza, You'll see the gas station ahead of you to your left, turn left at the light, and the ramp is right there,

correction--you're actually heading up (north) if you're on girard and see the fork.

what you need to do is get north of that fork. If you continue to drive up Girard and take a right on York, and another right back onto Aramingo, you'll get the 95S. I was confused too when I was first looking at houses. You can't get to it from Girard--only Aramingo. If you're on Richmond Avenue, you can just go up to the street two lefts after Girard, take a left on it, and another left on Aramingo.

Once you know the area, you just cut through fishtown from girard, take that to york, york to aramingo, and viola, turn right.avoiding having to use the plaza as a u turn, or going down richmond to cumberland.
