Default New Target Open!!

Home Depot on Castor Avenue in Port Richmond has a new neighbor, for those who haven't been. Target was slated to open on October 8. I went up Sunday night to check it out. It's a pretty big store compared to the one in S. Philly. It seems to have almost as much as the Target in Plymouth Meeting--but more groceries. Yeah, they've amped up the amount of freezers, refridgerators and thus food items. I also got to check out the new designer (whose name slips me) that has the Vintage Modern line they're advertising the crud out of...very nice, soft towels. Other than that, I was confused where the "vintage" was.

My favorite part of this trip was Starbucks. Yes, Starbucks has invaded Target...and even Port Richmond. Unfortunately, it isn't running at 100% quite yet. I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte...it was sold out...I was told, "I hope we get more soon because everyone really likes it." (I guess they haven't gotten their ordering system down yet.) I changed my order to the more calorie-conscious iced coffee. He filled it up with coffee and added about 4 ice cubes at the end (for those not familiar with the art of iced coffee, you fill the glass with ice FIRST). Regardless, I was pretty happy with my coffee.

The designer's name is Thomas O'Brien, I believe. I went to the new Target last week and was pleasantly surprised at the very good service.

Great service, yes. There were some grand opening sales going on too. Only negative is very few red-tagged items at this point....

Hey listen--you'd appreciate it whilst shopping in Target--your former option was merely a slurpee.

No, I myself enjoy a good slurpee every year or so. I find there's nothing that stains the entire mouth so.

On Castor Avenue between Aramingo Avenue and Richmond Street. Take the Route 25 bus (http://www.septa.org/service/bus/pdffiles/025.pdf)
