Last Wednesday someone came to my door and told me that they chased off two kids trying to pry open my garage at 3:30 in the morning. I was pretty sure of their ethnic background before I asked him.

That makes me a racist. If you have a feeling that they might be black simply because I live two blocks from Girard that makes you a racist also.

One reason I married my wife is because I thought she was beautifull. The combination of Irish, French and Italian was just breathtaking. When we first met I could not belive a woman so pretty would be talking to me. By the way, that makes me a racist.

I'm Scottish myself. Proud of my heritage and own a kilt with my family tarten. That makes me a racist.

Sometimes people get their panties in such a bunch that they have a knee jerk reaction and refuse to engage their brain.

Race is only important to people who are dogmatic in their beliefs supportive of racialist views

This is all piffle.

Are a large majority of the crimes being committed in Fairmount by Black men?

Why would they target Fairmounters?

How many Fairmounters have pulled a weapon or used phyiscal aggression to deter their assailants?

Some of you suggested that I was displaying bravado when I said crime was non-existant in my old neighborhoods. If I hear of crime around my old blocks then I make calls home and find out what is being done to terminate it. Because of aggressive behavior by my old neighbors; because the risk is high for criminals; because we handle these problems ourselves without bothering the fat, disinterested, and unintelligent police, there are no problems in my old neighborhoods. Fairmount does not have that. They call 911. They do not defend themselves. If I was a criminal, I would stake my claim in Fairmount.

Where do sharks swim? Wherever there is food.

Using logic is not racism.

Vigilantism is a step of action of extremists.

Somebody wrote: «Not discussing the race of those breaking the law would be avoiding a big part of problem.»
To imply that the sole inclusion of a person in a certain race group will unavoidably lead to such person breaking the law is simply asinine, and without a doubt, not logical at all. By the way, such an argument is held by people who commit ethnic cleansing.

Have people already forgotten about Germany in the 1940s and the pretexts that Adolf and his party of thugs employed, or about the klan during the last century?

Whatever keeps a gun out of my face and the faces of those I love works for me.

Fairmount does not use vigilante justice, how is that working out?

Like I wrote previously, vigilantism is a course of action of extremists.
Extremists believe they are above the rule of law.

On a positive note, as the city improves economically, a display of which is the recent real state renaissance, more jobs should become available to all; to the educated and to the unskilled. As the percentage of people which are part the employed workforce increases, and anomie and social estrangement decrease, violent events should promptly decline. I look forward to that.

Wow Miro, from the identification that most of the crimes committed in Farimont are by black people to Hitler and ethnic cleansing in one step.

Snaggletooth, where do you get the figure of 82%? We shouldn't be throwing around statistics, especially about a topic as sensitive as this one, without indicating where those stats come from.
