Default Favorite Restaurant?

I need to find a place to take my family out to eat next weekend (no kids), does anyone have a favorite restaurant in Fairmount?

I'm partial to Bridgid's, though it's to some extent for nostalgia reasons, since that was the first place I ate at in the neighborhood many years ago.

I thought Figs was pretty good too, though it's been 2 years since I ate there. At the time it got mixed reviews, but it still seems popular. It's BYOB, though - be warned.

i just checked out apsen's new menu, and was really impressed. the dining room is small and cozy, too.
for pricier fare, my favorite is illuminare...i like their food more than that of the probably more popular London Grill, Jacks, or Rembrants. their vodka sauce is amazing!!!

London, Aspen, Rembrant's, and Zorba's (byob) are all very good...If I had to pick one, I'd go with Aspen. No, I changed my mind...it'd be Zorba's.

I used to like Brigid's but the last few times I've eaten there, the food was fair at best.

#1 Illuminaire
#2 Figs
#3 Aspen

Ive been let down by Brigids too many times...so I now avoid the place.

For bar food, Rembrants kicks ass! I think London sucks.

thanks everyone. from what you've all said, illuminaire and aspen seem to be two good choices. i'd still like to hear some more opinions though!

I just ate at Rembrants the other night and dinner was excellent. Their menu is diverse so there is something for everyone.
