Default gas station at 25 & Poplar

I've been noticing how much cleaner it is on the grounds of the gas station at 25th & Poplar is lately. I was wondering if the business changed hands, as I see different people at the cash register as well. Makes such a difference for the neighborhood to have the place cleaned up!

That place has always been much better than the area near it.
Add in that it has cheap gas, it's a real asset to the neighborhood.

...a "beacon of light" if you will. Now, if we can only get Gravely Brothers to sell or redevelop around it...

Who are the Gravely Brothers? Which properties do they own?

I was told that the property used to be a movie theater back in the day. That might have been even nicer than cheap gas.

Gravely Bros are the roofing co. on 26th. The property on the north east side near the gas station is/was owned by someone else-- some brothers i think who wanted to develop townhouses with garages, but were turned down by the FCA for a height variance. I don't know if they still own the building.
